On February 29th, Infineon announced an important sales and marketing organizational restructuring plan to further strengthen its global sales system. This restructuring will officially take effect on March 1, 2024.
The report points out that Infineon will restructure its sales team to better meet customer needs and enhance market competitiveness. The new sales organization will revolve around three customer-centric business areas, namely "automotive business", "industrial and infrastructure business", and "consumer, computing, and communication business".

In the new organizational structure, the distributor and electronic manufacturing service management (DEM) sales organization will continue to be responsible for the distributor and electronic manufacturing service (EMS) areas. This simplified restructuring approach aims to help customers more easily obtain a complete product portfolio and meet their specific needs by providing complementary products from different business units.
It is reported that this restructuring will also optimize Infineon's global regional layout to better support its customers. By reducing the number of customer interfaces, Infineon hopes to accelerate the time to market of its semiconductor and solution supported research and development projects, better adapting to the fast-paced market demand.
