Recently, the Key Special Management Office of High Performance Computing of the High Technology Center organized an inspection expert group to conduct a mid-term inspection on the project of "Integrated Circuit Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Platform Based on High Performance Computing" led by the Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. More than 40 experts from the overall expert group, members of the special management office, project leaders, and research backbone from participating units of the "High Performance Computing" key project participated in this meeting.

The inspection expert group listened to the report of the project leader on the progress and important achievements of the project, as well as the use of funds. They watched on-site demonstrations, checked project auxiliary materials, and conducted a comprehensive inspection of the mid-term execution of the project. They believe that the project has completed the mid-term research task and can pass this inspection. At the same time, the inspection expert group suggested that the project should further focus on the practicality of the platform, further sort out the platform's computing resources and actual user types; Strengthen collaboration among various topics and further enhance the parallel computing scale of self-developed EDA tools.
The expected goal of this project is to build a business oriented integrated circuit electronic design automation business platform, supporting the development of the integrated circuit design industry with flexible business process technology, high-performance computing technology, and visualization technology.
