Who dominates the ups and downs of the domestic smartphone market?

In the past two years, the smartphone market has been booming, and the share of smartphones in the overall smartphone market has skyrocketed. With the widespread attention of mobile Internet applications, more and more users have a demand for smart phones. Smartphones with high prices will also enter the civilian era of good quality and low prices, and thousand yuan smart phones are growing into the backbone of the smart phone market.
In the domestic smartphone market in China, a preliminary pattern of "three markets and four major manufacturers" has been formed. The so-called "three markets" refer to the China Telecom CDMA market, China Unicom WCDMA market, and China Mobile TD-SCDMA market. The "four major manufacturers" refer to four domestic enterprises, namely Coolpad, Huawei, ZTE, and Lenovo. Three of them are headquartered in Shenzhen, two have a background in communication equipment manufacturers, and one is a traditional PC manufacturer.
According to the latest "2011 China Android Smartphone User Survey and Research Report" released by iMedia Consulting, in the 2011 China Android smartphone user brand survey, domestic brands Huawei, ZTE, and Coolpad accounted for 11.4%, 9.8%, and 9.2% respectively, with the Android market share of the three brands exceeding 30%. According to Li Wang, Executive Vice President of Yulong Coolpad, Coolpad will launch the world's longest smartphone product line in 2011, with over 30 smartphones. It is expected that the shipment volume of smartphones will reach around 12-15 million units. According to the latest operational data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as of the end of September this year, the number of 3G users in China has exceeded 100 million. Terminal data shows that 60% of them come from international brands, 30% come from four mainland Chinese companies: Coolpad, Huawei, ZTE, and Lenovo, and the remaining 10% are divided up by small enterprises, with almost no counterfeit products received. It can be seen that with the development of the smartphone market, the "four major manufacturers" are rapidly becoming the dominant forces in dividing the market.
From the path of the four major manufacturers entering the smartphone market, since June 2010, ZTE and Huawei have shifted their focus to the mobile terminal field, entering the thousand yuan smartphone market. Represented by ZTE V880 and others, Lenovo has also shifted from PC to mobile terminals. Coolpad, which has always focused on the high-end market, has launched representative products such as N930, N950, and 9930. After entering the field of thousand yuan smartphones, he was a latecomer, but his strength should not be underestimated.
In the field of thousand yuan smartphones, Coolpad has launched thousand yuan smartphones, represented by the Play Cool series. Among them, the Coolpad 5820 is EVDO's first Weibo phone, the 5860 is CDMA's first thousand yuan 4-inch large screen phone, and the W706 phone, which was snatched after its launch. In addition, it is rumored that Coolpad will soon launch a highly anticipated product in the high-end market - the Coolpad 9900, which will be a highly configured product and may become the annual masterpiece of domestic smartphones.
China Telecom's Ma Daojie recently stated at the Coolpad 5860 press conference, "Since China Telecom took over CDMA for three years, the entire industry chain has undergone tremendous changes. We hope that all types of mobile phone brands can develop, whether domestic or international. Objectively speaking, high priced phones are mostly international brands, and slightly low-end phones are mainly domestic. However, Yulong Coolpad phones are a special case and very difficult." A well-known industry figure also pointed out that "Coolpad is the only manufacturer in the domestic mobile phone field that can support prices above 5000 yuan.". It can be seen that in the competition for smartphones, Coolpad has already taken a considerable advantage, and other manufacturers need to work hard.
The thousand yuan smart phone will become the most popular mainstream of affordable consumption. With the rapid growth of smart phone sales and users, China's mobile Internet will also usher in a golden age of development. Of course, this in turn will bring more benefits to these smart phone manufacturers. The revolution is not yet successful, comrades still need to work hard, everyone cheers!
